I am sharing my personal health and fitness journey for inspiration and motivation only. I am not a doctor, dietitian, or medical professional. Intermittent fasting, exercise, and nutrition choices affect everyone differently, and what works for me may not be right for you.
Always listen to your body and consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new diet, fasting routine, or exercise program—especially if you have underlying health conditions or concerns about your immune system.
A couple of weeks ago, I set out on a journey to tone my midsection and reset my health. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with intermittent fasting (IF) to not only shed a few kilos but also to activate my body’s natural healing process, known as autophagy.
Progress So Far
In just a short time, I’ve dropped 2 kilos with IF, which feels like a great start. But I’ll be honest—it hasn’t been easy. Pushing my fasting windows longer has left me feeling a bit run down, and I’ve noticed that my immune system weakened from the lack of steady nutrients.
Learning the Balance
One of the biggest lessons so far has been about balance.
I managed a deep cleansing day with a 19-hour fast, which gave me that feeling of a hard reset.
The next day, I listened to my body and scaled back to a 14/10 window (14 hours fasting, 10 hours eating).
From there, I’ve been slowly building back up my fasting windows, so I can still benefit from IF without running myself down.
It’s a reminder that health journeys aren’t about strict perfection—they’re about listening to your body and adjusting along the way.
Supporting My Immune System
To help my body recover and stay strong, I’ve been breaking my fast with a nutrient-packed smoothie designed to boost immunity and replenish energy:
🥝 Kiwi fruit
🍊 Fresh orange
🍓 Mixed berries
🌿 Spinach
🫚 Ginger
✨ Probiotics
This combination gives me a refreshing burst of vitamins, antioxidants, and gut-friendly goodness right when my body needs it most.
The Road Ahead
It hasn’t been easy, but I’m committed to continuing for another two weeks and seeing how I feel. My goal is not just to lose weight but to build a stronger, healthier core and to establish habits I can sustain long-term.
👉 If you’re on a similar journey, remember that it’s okay to adjust, to rest when you need to, and to nourish your body along the way. Progress is about consistency—not perfection.
Here’s to the next phase of the journey 💪✨
